There are indications that the Federal Government may adopt N30,000 as the new minimum wage to avert the impending nationwide strike by the organised labour.
The strike is slated to commence early hours of Tuesday, 6th November 2018.
Sources close to the on-going negotiation told Labour24 that federal and state governments have demonstrated a good deal of commitment in an effort to avert the strike action. 
The organised labour has the backing of the organised private sector to remain resolute on N30,000. Also, there is a considerable amount of pressure mounted by the working class on labour not to accept any figure that is below the agreed figure.
Therefore, the job of the representatives of the organised labour seems well cut out for them.
Laboor insisted that what they are engaged with the government in is not a fresh negotiation, but a meeting aimed at arriving at the date the tripartite committee report would be submitted to President Muhammadu Buhari for transmission to the National Assembly. The meeting was still on-going at at the time this report was file.
